Casio Watches

The Casio company began life in Japan in the year 1946 as a manufacturer of microscope parts. In 1974 Casio debuted its computerized Casiotron watch. When Casio introduced its G-Shock watch in 1983 it created a new standard for other watches to aspire to. The G-Shock was a tough watch that could be dropped from atop a building and keep ticking. This shock-resistant watch was a novel concept when it was first introduced, but before long it caught on and other companies began introducing their own versions of the G-Shock.
